Another quirky behind-the-scene detail during her preparation for her life milestone that stunned many people.
In a series of stories that she uploaded on her Instagram account, Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo gave her followers a peek into what went down on her wedding day last Monday, July 13.
During which, she tied the knot with Puregold President and CEO Vincent Co in a civil wedding ceremony officiated by Mayor Nancy Binay at the Makati City Hall.
In a picture, which was taken by her friend and business partner Brina Secosana, Bea was seen doing her own makeup for the special day. The box-office queen also admitted that she rarely does it for special occasions.
“I don’t normally do my own makeup for special occasions, but for my wedding day, it just felt more personal,” she wrote.
In a second slide, Alonzo also thanked her past make-up artists who have taught her over the years. “I hope I made my teachers proud,” she said as she showed the final look.
However, she also revealed that her resident hairstylist was the one who helped style her hair, whom she thanked for doing her hair at the last minute.
Prior to the stories, Bea already took hold of the narrative as she made a direct, official announcement of her marriage by sharing images taken during the wedding ceremony on her social media account.
As of this writing, the post has already garnered 1.6 million likes on Instagram and earned comments from her friends and colleagues such as Anne Curtis and Angel Locsin, among many others.
Meanwhile, on his afternoon talk show, Boy Abunda shared that he recently hopped on a phone call with Vincent Co.
“Kahapon, dahil lumabas na po ‘yung balita na sila’y ikinasal, nasa telefono kami ni Vincent. I spoke to him, nagkausap kami ni Vincent Co and very matter of factly tinanong ko siya, ‘Ikaw ba’y ikinasal na kayo ni Bea?’ Sabi niya, very, very matter of factly din, ‘Opo, Tito.’ Ikinasal na sila and I was very happy for them. Sabi ko, ‘Vince, I’m so happy for you. I wish you both the best at sana’y i-bless kayo ni God…” Abunda shared.
During their conversation, he directly asked whether the couple will be embarking on a honeymoon trip.
“And then I asked him, are you traveling together after the wedding? Sabi niya, ‘Hindi Tito, ang daming trabaho.’ As a matter of fact, nasa taping po ngayon si Bea para sa kanyang upcoming teleserye sa GMA na Whispers from Heaven,” he added.
