Recording a higher percentage than the previous month.
In June 2026, AirAsia Philippines reported that it was recognized as the fourth most punctual airline in the world, according to the United Kingdom-based global aviation data provider OAG Aviation.
That month, it posted an impressive 92.96% On-Time Performance (OTP), which is an improvement from the 87% it registered back in May.
The AirAsia Group also landed in 10th place among the world’s best-performing large airlines for on-time performance, as it recorded an 83.02% OTP across 14,502 flights in its network.
AirAsia Philippines said its strong on-time performance is driven by strategic operational planning and seamless coordination across the airline.
It includes maintaining aircraft availability, proactive maintenance, efficient flight dispatch and turnaround processes, proper crew scheduling, close coordination with airport and air traffic control, continuous weather monitoring, and real-time decision-making.
Together, it noted, these enable teams to respond quickly to operational challenges, as ensuring safe and reliable flights for guests.
AirAsia Philippines President and General Manager Anna Victoria Lu noted, “Beyond offering affordable and accessible fares, reliability has always been at the core of AirAsia’s DNA.“
“Despite the challenges faced by the aviation industry in the first half of the year, we’re proud of the operational progress we’ve made while continuing to provide safe, efficient, and customer-focused service,” she added.
The executive added that the budget’s carrier’s next priority is to “stabilize operations,” as part of AirAsia’s “continued commitment to rebuilding travel confidence and bringing more people back to the skies, safely and on time.”
AirAsia Philippines is one of the country-based operations of the bidget carrier, which launched in Malaysia back in 2001 and has since expanded its presence across the region, including Thailand, Indonesia, and Cambodia.
The airline has since carried 800 million guests yo its more than 130 destinations, with the group operating more than 200 aircraft and envisions itself as the “world’s first global low cost network carrier.”
