Advance applied testing and life science research is the core focus of a new facility that is created by the new distribution partnership of QIAGEN with Hamburg Trading Corporation.
Trendrod was told that QIAGEN, which is a global provider of Sample to Insight solutions, is setting up a new QIAGEN Experience Lab in the Philippines, which is touted as a “dedicated space designed to bring advanced molecular solutions directly to the local scientific community.”
The said facility was also said to have been designed to remove logistical barriers for researchers and enable on-site evaluation without the need for internal equipment clearances.
In line with this, QIAGEN and Hamburg have jointly unveiled a dedicated QIAGEN demo lab in the Philippines — heralded as a significant milestone in QIAGEN’s regional strategy, as it begins to establish a permanent physical presence to support the local scientific community in the country.
The Philippines, they revaled, represents a “critical mass applied testing market” for QIAGEN, which shared that the partnership with Hamburg enables them to tap into specialized segments such as veterinary, plant testing and industrial applications.
All, while maintaining a robust foothold in academic and pharmaceutical R&D.
Eric Goh, Head of Commercial Operations, Southeast Asia at QIAGEN, shared: “Beyond serving as a supplier, we are partnering with Hamburg Trading Corp to transform this facility into a vibrant learning hub that empowers the next generation of Filipino scientists through hands-on seminars and real-world expertise.”
Under this partnership, QIAGEN’s latest advancements in laboratory automation — QIAsprint Connect, QIAcube Connect and QIAcuity Digital PCR system — are made available for demonstration within the lab.
Moreover, the new demo lab also aims to be a platform for real customer engagement by allowing stakeholders from applied testing and life sciences research to experience QIAGEN’s expansive portfolio without the need for internal clearances for instrument demos.
For the Filipino scientific community they get direct, hands-on access to the full QIAGEN portfolio, allowing researchers to experience advanced workflows in person.
“By providing a dedicated space for on-site demonstrations and technical workshops, the lab removes the logistical burden, resulting in a more seamless evaluation process,” noted QIAGEN.
It will also be a hub local expertise, which will allow capability building and act as a physical center for internal training and specialized support across the nation.
Tne local and physical presence is ultimately seen as one that will increases brand credibility in the market relying on local expertise, the company furthered.
