It will be a match to watch for many fans.
On Monday, July 6, ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic officially announced more details regarding its previously teased Star Magic All-Star Games 2026.
The said exhibition game will have higher stakes this time around as Filipino celebrities from the Kapamilya roster will battle it out on the court against some of the most-popular Thai boys’ love (BL) actors from another Southeast Asian media giant, GMMTV — igniting the “SEA-bling rivalry.”
According to the company, the line-up of players in the Filipino side are Gerald Anderson, Emilio Daez, River Joseph, JM Ibarra, Ronnie Alonte, Young JV, Tristan Ramirez, Argel Saycon, Jeremiah Lisbo, Ashton Salvador, and Elyson De Dios.
Over at the GMMTV side, confirmed to be playing are AJ-Chayapol Jutamas, Neo-Trai Nimtawat, Joss-Wayar Sangngern, Gawin-Caskey, JJ-Chayakorn Jutamas, Ryu-Phudtripart Bhudthonamochai, Aston-Ratiphat Luengvoraphan, Marc-Natarit Worakornlertsith, Ping-Krittanun Aunchananun, and Teshow-Promsakha Na Sakonnakhon.
Currently, the ticketing information and seat map are yet to be announced by the company, although the games are confirmed to be taking place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on August 23.
It is a twist in the long-running annual games, which has traditionally been a game putting artists drom the stable and even outside the management.
Back in July 2025, it was an equally star-studded affair as the Star Magic artists played at the Araneta Coliseum for basketball and volleyball matches.
In the men’s basketball, the team led by its coach Gerald Anderson and captain Donny Pangilinan played opposite the team composed of content creators CongTV and the rest of Team Payaman.
In women’s volleyball, notable players included BINI’s Mikha Lim, Fyang Smith, Lella Ford, with guest professional players Ivy Lacsina, Angel Canino, Bella Belen, and Camille Lamina.
In the same year, the first men’s volleyball game was also held, BGYO’s Akira and JL,Dylan Yturralde, and pro players Rex Intal, Ariel Cacao, JM Ronquillo, and Kiel Castillo.
