Giving fans all the feels and nostalgia this evening.
On Saturday, June 27, the Batang 90s will have a much-awaited moment come true for them as the Taiwanese superstars Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, and Van Ness Wu of the popular group F4 (later known as JVKV) team up with Ashin of the band Mayday for their F Forerver concert stop in the country.
The show will take place at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan and will mark the first show of the three stars together, who starred in the 2001 hit TV series Meteor Garden — which is then based on the Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango, after more than 22 years.
Previously, they visited along with another F4 member, Ken Chu, has sat out of the tour due to a disagreement with the label producing the concert series, for an event produced by ABS-CBN in 2003 — the same year that the Tagalized series aired and caused the Asianovela phenomenon in the Philippines.
It is expected to deliver a night filled with nostalgia, as the F Forever tour also coincides with the 25th anniversary of the drama this year.
Meanwhile, prior to their arrival to the Philippines, the Jerry, Vic, Van Ness, and Ashin donated PHP2.5 million each to the ABS-CBN Foundation and GMA Kapuso Foundation for the relief efforts in Mindanao, where a Magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck last June 8.
For attendees and other travelers headed northbound, the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) has also advised that “heavy traffic is expected in the area during the event,” with motorists encouraged to load their RFID accounts and plan their trips in advance.
Furthermore, attendees are advised to take the NLEX Ciudad de Victoria exit, while motorists bound for Bocaue or Santa Maria may use alternate routes via the Marilao, Bocaue, or Tambubong exits.
Traffic personnel have also been deployed along NLEX-covered areas to provide assistance, the operator also said.
