They are the first local band to headline a solo concert at the said venue.
On Saturday, May 23, original Filipino music (OPM) band Cup Of Joe holds their Sandali concert at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bocaue, Bulacan.
Directed by Paolo Valenciano, it the first time that a local band held a concert at the said venue, which is within the Ciudad de Victoria that includes the Philippine Arena.
Prior to this, the band staged successful multi-part solo concerts at the New Frontier Theater and the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City in the past few years.
Sandali shares its name with the recently released extended play of the band, which carries the title track as well as Pamahiin, Kung Payagan, Lalayo, and Isang Daan.
Cup of Joe was formed in Baguio City in 2018, with the debut taking place a year later. The band gained following with the release of their extended play Patutunguhan, which carried the songs Tingin featuring Janine Teñoso, Tataya, and Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko.
in September 2024, a few months ahead of the Silakbo album’s release in early 2025, the single Multo was dropped.
That song propelled COJ to the top of the charts after reaching the number 1 spot in the respective national charts of music streaming platforms Spotify and Apple Music.
In March 2025, the band dropped the music video that starred real-life couple Elijah Canlas and Miles Ocampo, with the nearly six-minute long video having crossed 20 million mark on YouTube last February.
