It will mark their tandem’s return to the screen after the award-winning movie Green Bones.
Last Thursday, May 21, GMA Network officially announced the cast for the upcoming action series Hari Ng Tondo.
Topbilling the show are two of the network’s award-winning actors. Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo and Primetime Action Hero Ruru Madrid, who are reunited after starring together in the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival Best Picture winner Green Bones.
“Minsan lang kami magkatrabaho ni Ruru pero pagka-binibigyan kami ng pagkakataon magkatrabaho, talagang siguradong maganda at isang malaking proyekto talaga,” Dennis told in a report by GMA News.
Meanwhile, for Ruru, he is excited to work with his fellow lead actor for a long-form project.
“Finally ngayon sa isang teleserye, mas mahaba, mas maraming oras na magkakasama kami ni Kuya Dennis so very excited,” said Ruru.
Also confirmed to be joining rhe star-studded cast are Rocco Nacino and Ryza Cenon on her return to GMA Network after eight years.
Ysabel Ortega, Elle Villanueva, Arra San Agustin, Gary Estrada, Victor Neri, Nonie Buencamino, Isko Moreno, and Heath Jornales were all announced to be included in the ensemble.
At present, GMA has yet to announce the official broadcast date for the show, which was unveiled as part of the network’s 2026 slate.
