It strengthens the company’s senior leadership team as the group advances its core business.
Last April 28, PHINMA Corporation announced the appointment of three new Vice Presidents after its Board of Directors elevated three homegrown leaders, who bring with them “extensive industry knowledge and proven track records to their expanded roles.”
The three newly appointed Vice Presidents are Rey Cervera as Vice President for Steel, Danielle del Rosario as Vice President for Insulated Panels and Solar Energy, and Maria Monica Cueto-Mamites as Vice President for Corporate Services and Planning and Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
Concurrent to his expanded role, Cervera will also lead Union Galvasteel Corporation (UGC) as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
He previously served as UGC’s Chief Operating Officer and has decades of experience in construction materials in the Philippines and overseas.
Through his new role, he will focus on revitalizing PHINMA’s steel roofing and cladding business to meet evolving construction demands, while leveraging UGC’s 60-year legacy Union brand.
“Drawing from our decades-long experience, UGC will continue bolstering our products designed to build better lives and stronger communities,” said Cervera. “For every construction project supported with durable, innovative steel solutions, our team further strengthens the PHINMA Group’s overall commitment to building a better nation.”
Meanwhile, aside from being VP for Insulated Panels and Solar Energy, del Rosario will also concurrently serve as President and CEO of both Union Insulated Panel Corporation (UIPC) and PHINMA Solar Energy Corporation (PSEC). Previously, she was the Chief Operating Officer of both businesses.
del Rosario will lead PHINMA’s push for sustainable building solutions, advancing food security through cold storage and delivering clean renewable energy for commercial and industrial sectors,
UIPC’s new manufacturing facility in Porac, Pampanga will launch in July 2026, with the capacity to produce over one million square meters of insulated panels annually.
“We help build the foundations of progress through high-quality, low-carbon, and energy-efficient construction solutions that support both urban and rural development while reducing environmental impact. These are deliberate choices to create meaningful impact and help build a better, brighter Philippines,” said Ms. de Rosario.
As the VP Corporate Services and Planning and CRO, Cueto-Mamites previously served as the Vice President for Business Development, Risk Officer of PHINMA Construction Materials Group, and Technical Assistant to the Group CEO.
She led business planning, investment analysis, deals execution, and enterprise risk management.
“The leadership appointments come as PHINMA continues to scale its businesses across education, construction materials, housing, and hospitality, reinforcing the group’s focus on long-term growth and impact,” the corporation noted in its press statement.
These appointments, it told, also reflect PHINMA’S long-standing investment in “developing talent from within and strengthening organizational capabilities to reach even more underserved communities across the Philippines.”
On these appointments, PHINMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ramon del Rosario, Jr. noted, “Developing strong businesses begins with strong leaders, We believe these appointments will further deepen PHINMA’s capacity to grow responsibly while doing our part in building the nation.”
