He will be fulfilling his service term as an active duty soldier.
On Monday (May 4), Korean media broke the news that actor Lee Jae Wook is enlisting in the military later this month.
In response to this news, his agency, log studio, was quoted in a report by entertainment news website Soompi confirming the news.
“Lee Jae Wook will be enlisting as an active duty soldier on May 18,” the company wrote.
The company has not disclosed any other details regarding the matter, as these have been commonly withheld by agencies.
However, in spite of this news, the 28-year-old actor will not be out of the screens for long. This June, his upcoming series Doctor on the Edge for Korean cable channel ENA will make its premiere.
Meanwhile, his Netflix series entitled Dead-End Job will be released in the second half of 2026.
The actor debuted in the entertainment industry in 2018 and starred in multiple hit series, such as Memories of Alhambra, Extraordinary You, When The Weather Is Fine, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, and in both parts of Alchemy of Souls.
He also starred as the titular character in the drama series Dear Hongrang, alongside actress Jo Bo Ah.
Back in September 2025, he also visited the Philippines for his Pro’log fan meeting.
