ROUND Festival brings together Filipino, ASEAN, and Korean acts in two-day event

This weekend (April 18 and 19), the ROUND Festival will take place at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The said event will bring together numerous artists from the local and regional music scenes, as well as South Korea.

Actress Gabbi Garcia and Korean singer-songwriter 10cm will be hosting this year’s event in the Philippines.

Part of tge confirmed line-up are original Filipino music (OPM) bands Ben&Ben and Cup of Joe, soloist TJ Monterde, and the global Filipino pop group HORI7ON are in the line-up.

Meanwhile, joining 10cm as international performers in the two-day event are MeloMance (South Korea), Syafiq Abdilah (Brunei), G-Devith (Cambodia), Pamungkas (Indonesia), JoJo Miracle (Laos), MIMIFLY (Malaysia), Velocity (Myanmar), Regina Song (Singapore), Tilly Birds (Thailand), and Chillies (Vietnam).

Access to the event is free, with attendees having been drawn through a raffle.

According to its website, ROUND is the official name and brand of the ASEAN – Korea Music Festival project.

“The program is intended to promote exchanges between Korea and ASEAN countries by utilizing popular music,” it read, adding that the name stands for “equal ASEAN countries and Korea” and will provide an opportunity for us to get closer in music.

The Manila event is sponsored by the Korean international public broadcaster KBS WORLD.
