She is still all smiles in spite of her exit from the tournament.

In a post on her Instagram account, Filipina tennis sensation Alex Eala shared snapshots taken during her participation in the 2026 Miami Open in Florida, USA.

The 20-year-old, who had exited the competition after losing to Karolina Muchova in their Round of 16 match on Monday, showed that she still had a wonderful time in the “Sunshine State.”

In the caption of her carousel post, she wrote, “I can confirm, Miami’s still the best🫶 I’ll always have a special place in my heart for this tournament. First sunshine double done! ☀️”

Following her exit in the Miami Open, Alex is expected to have a temporary slump in her global rankings in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA)’s next refresh after the tournament.

Currently at no. 29, she is expected to dip by more or less 20 spots as the points that she garnered in the past Miami Open will no longer be carried over this time around, especially with the points being effective for only a year.

Meanwhile, according to reports, by reaching this stage of the competition, she has secured the prize roughly worth USD105,720 (~PHP6.36 million).

Up next for Eala is the Upper Austria Ladies Linz in Austria, which will start on April 6. For now, she is said to be enjoying her break from the season.
