It will be back in theaters for a week.
In a post last Wednesday, March 18, production company TBA Studios announced a special movie event for fans of its Bayaniverse franchise.
For a limited seven-day window from Wednesday, March 25 until Tuesday, March 31, the popular historical-fiction films, namely Heneral Luna, Goyo: Ang Bayang Heneral, and the most recent installment, Quezon, will be screened in cinemas once again.
To entice moviegoers, tickets to these movies have been slashed to as low as PHP150 per movie in the following SM Cinema branches around the country. Participating malls are SM Mall of Asia, SM North EDSA, SM Fairview, and SM Cebu.
Meanwhile, in the following Ayala Malls Cinemas, the passes will be sold for PHP180 each in the following branches: Trinoma, Market! Market!, and Fairview Terraces.
Meanwhile, the price per movie in these Robinsons outlets—Antipolo, Calasiao, Manila, Galleria (Ortigas), General Trias, Galleria South, Naga, Jaro Tuguegarao, and Valencia—as well as Shopbox Virac (Catanduanes), have yet to be determined.
The first flick in the franchise, Heneral Luna, topbilled by John Arcilla, focuses on the namesake General Antonio Luna and broke records in 2015 when it became the highest-grossing historical movie in the Philippines, hitting PHP256 million in the box-office.
Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral centers on the story of the young general Gregorio Del Pilar and was first screened in theaters in 2018.
Last, but not least, is Quezon, which delves on the story of President Manuel Quezon and stars Jericho Rosales in the titular role. It was brought to cinemas in late 2025.
