With netizens and fans being given a glimpse of their bond off screen.
In a short video reel uploaded on social media, actor-director Coco Martin was seen giving a surprise advanced birthday treat for his partner, actress-producer Julia Montes, who will turn 31 on March 19.
The clip, which has already garnered almost 1 million reactions on Montes’ Facebook page, sees the 44-year-old sneaking into the dressing room of the birthday celebrant while carrying a large cake.
Once he has gotten her attention, Julia was visibly shocked and turned emotional as everyone in the room started singing Happy Birthday to her.
After blowing the candle, the two kissed each other, with Julia quipping toward the end of the video that she was supposed to be the one to “surprise” Coco instead.
Coco and Julia are set to star together anew in the upcoming ABS-CBN primetime series Sigabo, which was initially slated to make its premiere next Monday, March 16, but was postponed to a later date.
In a previous interview, the actor-director teased that Sigabo will be different from past two projects, as it will be a light drama that will follow an episodic narrative with comedians starring alongside them.
“Naghihintay ako ng right project para sa pagsasama namin ni Juls. Talagang hinanda ko ‘to para sa kanya,” and told that the series was tailor-made for them and their current status as a real-life couple.
Notably, Sigabo will also mark their reunion after starring together in 2022 in the final arc of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. Prior to that, they also worked in other top-rated series Walang Hanggan in 2012 and Ikaw Lamang in 2014.
