As the conflict in the region escalates.
In its advisory on Monday, March 2, Filipino telecoms company Globe announced free roaming services for subscribers of Globe Prepaid, Globe Postpaid, and TM that are currently in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait.
They can avail free roaming data, calls, and SMS to contact their families o seek help, with the network saying that this is valid for seven (7) days.
As per the telco giant, their subscribers must ensure that they are connected to its partner networks to use the service in the following countries.
- Bahrain – Batelco and Zain Bahrain
- Kuwait – Ooredoo Kuwait and STC Kuwait
- Qatar – Ooredoo and Vodafone
- Saudi Arabia – STC and Zain
- United Arab Emirates – Du and Etisalat
Meanwhile, for its customers currently in Iran, Globe is also extending load support or bill credit adjustments during this period.
The company also underscored that it is automatically implementing this for subscriber in the above-mentioned countries, with no registration required.
The customers will receive a confirmation message once the free service is already active, furthered the telecom company.
