It is the country’s premier and longest-running amateur golf team tournament.
On Friday, February 20, the 77th Philippine Airlines (PAL) Interclub tournament kicked off in Davao City.
In this edition, which will run until March 6, 2026, golfers from 214 teams will participate, with 124 competing in the Seniors division and 90 in the Men’s Regular division.
Notably, the tournament will also showcase Davao’s renowned hospitality and culture, with rounds to be played at three of the region’s premier courses: Apo Golf and Country Club, South Pacific Davao Golf Club, and Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club.
Richard Nuttall, President of Philippine Airlines, noted in a previous statement: “The PAL Interclub has always been a meaningful gathering for the golfing community. We are excited to bring the 77th edition to Davao and look forward to celebrating this tradition with golfers, partners, and supporters.”
Since its inaugural edition in 1948, the PAL Interclub has brought together teams from across the Philippines and overseas for competition that highlights camaraderie and shared passion for golf.
The event’s unique team-based format, PAL said, continues to “foster lasting friendships and exemplifies the values of teamwork, integrity, and fair play that have defined the Interclub for generations.”
“The PAL Interclub remains a celebration of friendship, sportsmanship, and community spirit—a legacy that continues to unite generations of Filipino golfers and inspire new talent from all corners of the country,” added the flag carrier.
