It is for a brand, where he is currently the ambassador.
On Saturday, February 14, Valentine’s Day was made special for CARATs as a popular chocolate snack brand announced an event featuring their endorser Mingyu, a member of the Korean boy band SEVENTEEN.
According to them, the 28-year-old is set to have his solo fan meeting in the Philippines on April 11 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
As per the details provided, fans can get their chance of seeing him live in person through a promotional activity, where they will be submitting entries online.
They are given two options to do it, with the first being them taking a photo or video with the in-store standee of the K-pop star or the display, while the other posing with the brand’s official Mingyu postcard set.
Once through, they will submit that on either Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, with winners being drawn upon through a raffle system where they can each snag two tickets to the show—with a total of over 3,000 winners by the end of the promo period.
The period will run from February 14 to March 27 at 11:59 pm, as per the terms and conditions they have provided.
The fan meeting is the second show in the Philippines lined-up for the idol, who is also set to join eight other SEVENTEEN members in their upcoming New_ concert in Bulacan on March 21.
That will mark the band’s comeback to the country, as they previously held their Right Here concert at the same venue in January 2025.
In September 2025, Mingyu also formed the sub-unit CxM with the band leader S.Coups and released the album entitled ‘Hype Vibes,’ which carried six songs including the lead single 5, 4, 3 (Pretty woman) that featured rapper Lay Bankz.
