Willie Revillame transfers new show to noontime two days after launch

He makes a comeback on the timeslot he once occupied for years.

On Tuesday, January 27, in celebration of his 65th birthday, veteran TV host-producer Willie Revillame made a bold move concerning his new program, Wilyonaryo.

The game and variety show, which launched just last Sunday, January 25, has been moved from primetime all the way to noontime.

Ang todo-todong request n’yo Ka-Wilyonaryo, matutupad! 🧞 Dahil simula JANUARY 27, sa birthday mismo ni Kuya Wil, tuwing ALAS DOSE na ng tanghali mapapanood ang Wilyonaryo!“, read the announcement post on its social media page.

With this development, Revillame makes his comeback to noontime, the very same slot of his popular programs like Magandang Tanghali Bayan and Wowowee, which were his shows in his former home network, ABS-CBN.

Upon his abrupt departure from the Kapamilya network and his first move to TV5 in 2010, he placed his variety show Willing Willie on the weekday evening block—opposite the flagship primetime newscasts and teleseryes on both ABS-CBN and GMA.

After a major controversy, the replacement variety show, Wil Time Bigtime, also took the same time slot from May 2011 until January 2013.

By then, he was brought back by TV5 to lunchtime via Wowowillie, which had a short run, having aired from January to October 2013.

When he moved to GMA in 2015, he was first given the Sunday afternoon slot to air his program Wowowin.

Almost a year into its broadcast, the Kapuso network transferred it to pre-primetime—where it stayed until February 2022. The ALLTV iteration of the variety show also kept Wowowin on the primetime slot.

Meanwhile, when he returned to TV5 in 2024, he was also assigned the same time slot as the predecessor, with the new variety show given the title Wil To Win. It was canceled in May 2025 as Willie decided to run for public office and lost.

The move of Wilyonaryo to noontime was made possible not by any major shake-up, similar to what occurred with Eat Bulaga and It’s Showtime in 2023.

Instead, with it exclusively airing on his own Wil TV channel on Cignal and website, the game show was able to take the prime 12 noon slot without any major debacle.

Effectively, this also brings the competing noontime shows in the country back to three for the first time since March 2024, when the TAPE-produced Tahanang Pinakamasaya was axed.
