His return will happen on a different platform.

At his media conference on Tueday, January 20, veteran TV host-producer Willie Revillame disclosed plans for his upcoming program Wilyonaryo.

This show—which would be his comeback after the end of his short-lived weeknight variety show on TV5, Wil To Win, that ran from July 2024 to May 2025—was supposed to air on the said network.

However, the soon-to-be 65-year-old personality revealed that the initial plan was no longer pushing through.

Alam niyo naman ‘yung nangyari sa TV5, ‘di ba? Change of leadership,” he cited the reason behind the move.

He continued, “So, ang kausap ko talaga doon ay si Miss Jane Basas… pero wala na siya [sa MediaQuest] ngayon,” with Willie confirming rumors that the lady executive, who served as the president and CEO of the media firm had stepped down.

The TV host said that in line with these changes, the contract that he had signed with the group last November would be under review.

Revillame also mentioned that they were not given a slot on TV5’s primetime block due to his new show being an outright gaming program, which obtained license from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) similar to other forms of betting and gambling.

Pero, hopefully, ‘yung channel 10 ng Cignal ay kung maaayos namin ang pag-uusapan, ang contract, baka matuloy if ever na okay sa kanila.

Cignal TV’s channel 10 has been reserved for the new Wil TV channel, with Revillame planning it as a home for Wilyonaryo, as well as other shows that he is planning to produce.

Willie remained optimistic about airing on his eponymous channel, as with it being a pay TV channel, it might be able to circumvent restrictions on free-to-air TV.

Although, he mentioned that even the channel is still up in the air, as meetings are underway between the board members and officers of MediaQuest over its fate.

Meanwhile, “Kuya Wil” also said that his new show will be produced at his own studio inside the Wil Tower Mall in Quezon City, where he used to produced his former show, Wowowin, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As for the MVP Quest Building, which is being built with a studio for particularly for his program.

After a month of dry runs, his new program Wilyonaryo will be airing beginning Sunday, January 25, on its official website.
