The network is once again shaking up its weekday evening block.
Just two weeks after introducing its first temporary set-up after the end of its content partnership with ABS-CBN, TV5 is dipping into its archives to fill its programming gap on primetime.
But the Kapatid network, as it stands, has not completely moved on from its ties with the Kapamilya network just yet.
This, as the station will be re-airing the pair of teleseryes that it co-produced with the content provider between 2023 and 2024. These are Nag-aapoy Na Damdamin and Pira-Pirasong Paraiso.
In the first series, which will be placed at the 8:45 pm slot, Jane Oineza topbills alongside JC De Vera, Ria Atayde, and Tony Labrusca. Also starring in the said drama are Joko Diaz, Myla Gumila, Nico Antonio, Kim Rodriguez, and Aya Fernandez.
Meanwhile, Charlie Dizon, Loisa Andalio, Elisse Joson, and Alexa Ilacad team up with Joseph Marco, Ronnie Alonte, KD Estrada, Epy Quizon, Sunshine Dizon, Art Acuña, Markus Paterson, Snooky Serna, and Rosanna Roces in the latter series, which will air at 9:30 pm.
Both shows were simultaneously launched in the afternoon block of TV5, as well as the Kapamilya Channel and A2Z in July 2023. The pair then concluded their runs in January 2024.
Nag-aapoy and Pira-Piraso will take over the timeslot vacated by the movie block Cine Cinco Primetime, which ended its two-week run last Friday, January 16.
With that, here is how TV5’s TodoMax Primetime Singko is shaping up to be starting Monday, January 19.
- 5:30 pm – Una Sa Lahat
- 6:15 pm – Frontline Pilipinas
- 8:00 pm – Totoy Bato
- 8:45 pm – Nag-aapoy na Damdamin
- 9:30 pm – Pira-Pirasong Paraiso
KAPAMILYA VS. KAPAMILYA VS. KAPAMILYA
Due to this development, for the first time in the history of the big three networks, three separate productions of ABS-CBN will be airing on the third slot after the flagship primetime newscast.
The ongoing murder mystery series What Lies Beneath, which previously aired on TV5, is still on the air via the Kapamilya Channel on ALLTV2 and cable, and A2Z.
Over to GMA, the reality show Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, which is a co-production between the Kapamilya and Kapuso networks, is on at 9:40 pm.
Both will face the rerun of Pira-Pirasong Paraiso on TV5.
