She wrote this as she heads back to the Philippines.
In a post on her Instagram account, Kapamilya actress-TV host Anne Curtis penned a note to her late father, James Curtis-Smith. She wrote, “Left Australia with a heavy heart, yet in my memories, we’ll never part dad.”
“‘I’ll see you when I see you,’ my huckleberry friend, my gentle giant, my father dearest always, until then,” she continued.
Anne also told, “The grief comes in waves. The pain may pass (occasionally popping in to say hi) but remembering the special little moments I had with Dad is something I’ll always do.”
Meanwhile, for her friends and supporters who commiserated with them, she said: “I haven’t been able to read all of the messages but thank you to everyone who sent their condolences.”
The superstar furthered that she will be returning to TV in the coming days. “See you guys on Showtime soon, need me some of that endless laughter,” she ended her post.
It was last January 7 when Anne and her sister Jasmine Curtis announced the passing of their father.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected yet peaceful passing of our father, James E. Curtis-Smith,” read the caption of the joint post, where the sisters shared some portraits of their dad over the years.
“A true patriarch in every sense, he shaped us with strength, resilience, and a wit that will forever echo in our family,” they continued the post.
Lastly, they said: “He was deeply loved, endlessly admired, and will live on in our hearts always. We will miss him dearly.”
