Perfect for households that hosted gatherings and celebrations over the holiday season.
At the Trinoma store of Australian home and lifestyle brand Anko last Sunday, January 11, an activity was led by Christine Dychiao, the first Filipina KonMari®-certified consultant and founder of Tidying From Within.
The Decluttering and Storage Workshop focused on practical, affordable storage solutions that will help households organize their homes sustainably, without the pressure of a once-a-year overhaul.
During which, she demonstrated how Anko’s storage solutions can be fully utilized across different areas of the home, from bedrooms and kitchens to bathrooms and shared family spaces.
Dychiao advised starting with spaces that affect daily flow the most, particularly in the morning.
“Start with the area that already overwhelms you. It could be your bedroom, your bathroom, or your closet. When that one space feels calmer, it changes the tone of your entire day,” she shared.
Hence, she recommended products like the Bed Linen Boxes to store spare sheets and bedding neatly in one place, while Linen-look Underbed Shoe Organizers can maximize unused space and keep footwear out of sight but easy to access and allow households to maintain order without adding visual clutter.
She also highlighted that rather than using purely utilitarian containers, one must be able to choose storage that feels intentional and visually blends with every home style.
Dychiao also encouraged visible storage, instead of keeping everything behind closed doors. This is because it supports awareness and help people remember what they already own and avoid unnecessary purchases.
A key takeaway from the session was that effective organizing does not require expensive systems. Instead, it relies on choosing items that are durable, functional, and reasonably priced.
Beyond aesthetics, Dychiao emphasized that organization plays a role in overall well-being.
“When we cannot find what we need, or when we are surrounded by too much, our body responds with stress. Organizing creates space for calm,” she said.
Simple food containers for portioning and meal prep support healthier habits, while skincare essentials like under-eye patches and nourishing facial oils are more likely to become part of daily self-care routines when stored visibly and within reach.
The said workshop marked Anko’s first community-focused activity of 2026, which reinforces the brand’s commitment to supporting everyday Filipino living through quality, practical items at affordable price points.
This year, the brand said that it will be holdong monthly workshops that will offer expert-led guidance that shoppers can adapt to their own lifestyles.
