SMC, MPTC waive toll fees on Christmas, New Year’s Eve

In their respective announcements, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) and Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation said that they will be waiving the collection of toll fees on select dates toward the end of the year.

Both operators revealed that motorists using their expressways will be using it for free if they enter from 10:00 pm on December 24 (Christmas Eve, Wednesday) until 6:00 am on December 25 (Christmas Day, Thursday).

It will be repeated at 10:00 pm on December 31 (New Year’s Eve, Wednesday) until 6:00 am on January 1, 2026 (New Year’s Day, Thursday).

According to its advisory, SMC said that the waiving of toll fees will be in effect at all its expressways, including the STAR Tollway, SLEX (South Luzon Expressway), Skyway System, NAIAX (NAIA Expressway), and TPLEX (Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway).

As for MPTC, the directive will be effective on the NLEX (North Luzon Expressway), NLEX Connector, SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway), CALAX (Cavite-Laguna Expressway), and the CAVITEX (Cavite Expressway) for Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicles.
