On Saturday, December 13, the Kapuso sitcom Pepito Manaloto aired the episode that focused on the Kho family, led by Mimi, portrayed by Nova Villa.
In the story, she felt down as she awaited for a Christmas message from her daughter, Deedee (Jessa Zaragoza), who is supposedly in Las Vegas.
Much to her surprise and delight, the following day, her beloved daughter flew back to the Philippines and surprised her not just with her presence, but also the big news about her engagement to her fiancé, Richard Small.
Also part of the story is Deedee‘s missing balikbayan box containing all the pasalubong items for Mimi. Later on, it was revealed that Robert (Arthur Solinap) was the one who brought it inside the house and tucked it elsewhere.
Meanwhile, in a video clip on her social media account, Zaragoza shared behind-the-scene clips of her return to the show.
There, she surprised her castmates, including Nova, as well as Manilyn Reynes, Mosang, and greeted familiar faces like Michael V and John Feir on set.
In the caption of the post, Jessa revealed that she will continue to be seen in the next episode of the longest-running Kapuso sitcom.
