The event recognized the top music acts in South Korea and beyond.
On Friday, November 28, the 2025 MAMA Awards kicked off its two-day event at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.
The show began with an opening VCR featuring that evening’s main host, Park Bo-gum, and ALPHADRIVEONE member Sangwon.
During that night, several awards were given out including the Song of the Year and Fans’ Choice of the Year categories.
The first one was won by Blackpink’s Rosé and Bruno Mars for their 2024 smash hit Apt., with the female singer sending in a recorded message as she was not able to participate in the ceremony itself.
Meanwhile, Enhypen won the latter, as well as Favorite Global Artist and Fans’ Choice Top 10.
Also earning multiple awards that evening was the girl group IVE, who received Global Trend Song, Favorite Female Group, and Fans’ Choice Top 10 awards.
Super Junior, who is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025, also bagged the special Inspiring Achievement award, which recognized their contributions to the K-pop scene.

Aside from the main awards, the show also served as a platform for multiple performances from the likes of Super Junior, Yeonjun, Treasure, Enhypen, i-dle, Babymonster, BOYNEXTDOOR, NCT Wish, TWS, Meovv, Hearts2Hearts, and and AlphaDriveOne.
MAMA Awards also took time to express its condolences to the victims of the fire that razed a condominium complex in Tai Po, Hong Kong, and also added the Support Hong Kong initiative in light of the tragedy.
The 2025 MAMA Awards will resume on Saturday, November at 6:30 pm (Philippine time) and is available in the Philippines via tvN Asia and HBO Max.
