She is expecting her first baby soon.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, November 25, Korean management company XYZ Studio disclosed that actress Jo Bo-ah is pregnant with her first child.
“Actress Jo Bo Ah is expecting a child,” the company directly confirmed.
It continued, “We ask that you watch over her with warm blessings, and we ask for your generous understanding that we cannot share further details including her due date.”
The company also sent its thanks to the fans who constantly send love and support to Jo Bo Ah, and added, “after her return she will repay you with great performances as an actress.”
“Once again, we sincerely thank you for the blessings and warm encouragement you have sent to Jo Bo Ah,” the company’s statement concluded.
This news comes more than a year after the 34-year-old tied the knot with her non-celebrity partner.
Jo debuted as an actress in 2011 and has starred in prominent roles in series like The Idle Mermaid, Monster, Temperature of Love, My Strange Hero, and Forest.
In 2020, she became part of the hit fantasy series Tale of the Nine Tailed, where she portrayed the role of Nam Ji-ah, which she later reprised in a cameo role in the second season in 2023.
Since then, she has played characters in other dramas, such as Cha Woo-in in Military Prosecutor Doberman, Lee Hong Jo in Destined With You, and most recently, Jae-yi in Dear Hongrang.
