He has formalized his contract with the network.
Last Wednesday, November 19, up-and-coming boxer Eman Bacosa Pacquiao signed his contract with talent management company Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
Present at the event were numerous executives of the Kapuso network, led by GMA Network’s Executive Vice President and CFO Felipe Yalong, Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes, as well as Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s First Vice President Joy Marcelo, ans Assistant Vice President, Talent Imaging and Marketing Jenny Donato.
Joanna Bacosa Dino, Eman’s mother, was also there to support her son.
Aside from the contract signing, Pacquiao also appeared in the afternoon talk show Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, where he shared another side of him.
When asked about his showbiz crush, the 21-year-old revealed the personality to be none other than Jillian Ward.
Lucky for him, the actress responded to him in a separate interview, who also warmly welcomed him to the Sparkle family.
“Welcome to Sparkle. Welcome to GMA, and I pray na hindi ka magbago. I pray po na he stays true to himself, very Godly and may God bless him always, and sabi niya sana magkita kami soon, so ayon, I hope to see you soon din.”
The young boxer won in the Thrilla In Manila 2 event last October, which subsequently resulted to his virality when pictures of him began circulating on social media.
It led to netizens quipping that he is a look-alike of a number of personalities, including matinee idol Piolo Pascual—leading to his nickname “Piolo Pacquiao.”
Weeks later, their paths would cross, with Pascual appearing together with Bacosa-Pacquiao in an episode of GMA’s top-rating magazine program Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho—where Eman also shared more details about his private life and humble upbringing.
