A special experience for Filipino ENGENEs.
Beginning Thursday, November 20, fans of the Korean pop boy band ENHYPEN will be able to enjoy a different kind of concert experience.
This, as the seven-member team’s VR (virtual-reality) concert entitled ‘Immersion’ is scheduled to exclusively screen at the Gateway Cineplex in Quezon City.
The said concert film will treat fans to a close, one-on-one view of the members, namely Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Jungwon, Sunoo, and Ni-Ki.
In their message, Sunghoon remarked that it is their first time to do the said VR concert, which is fast becoming a trend in the K-pop scene.
For Jake, meanwhile, he said, “It felt way closer than I expevted, so it was really fun!” Ni-Ki then added that it surprised him too as the camera was way up to his nose.
Meanwhile, Jake continued, “We might not be standing in front of you, so don’t be shy,” and encouraged ENGENEs to enjoy the show with their fellow fans.
The VR also marks their virtual return to the Philippines, which they previously visited for their ‘Walk The Line’ concert back in March.
ENHYPEN was formed through the survival reality show ‘I-Land’ and made their official debut in November 2020.
Since then, they have released multiple successful extended plays and albums, which featured songs like ‘Given-Taken,’ ‘Tamed-Dashed,’ ‘Polaroid Love,’ ‘Bite Me,’ and ‘XO (Only If You Say Yes),’ and ‘No Doubt’.
Last June, the septet made their comeback with the mini-album ‘Desire: Unleash,’ which include tracks like ‘Bad Desire,’ ‘Flashover,’ ‘Helium,’ ‘Too Close,’ and the English and Korean versions of ‘Loose’—which they had previously released as a single in April—and ‘Outside’.
