An act of solidarity with her fellow Cebuanos.
In a series of stories in her Instagram account on Sunday, November 9, Aiah Arceta of the P-pop group BINI shared highlights of her recent trip to her home province, Cebu.
The idol was there to personally hand out her aid to the victims of the recent Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi), which devastated the province earlier that week.
“Went to Cebu yesterday for a day to help the victims of Typhoon Tino. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped me buy the food and supplies, and for repacking everything together within a day,” Aiah wrote on top of photos that showed relief goods being repacked.
She then showed the documentation on how the goods were delivered, which included a pick-up truck traversing a muddied road.
“They said this is already ‘better’ than how it was when the typhoon first hit. To all my friends who live in this village, I hope you can recover as soon as possible,” said Aiah.
The 23-year-old made the personal donation in the midst of her preparation, together with her fellow BINI members, for the team’s upcoming comeback with their newest album, ‘FLAMES,’ on November 21.
The octet is also set to hold their ‘BINIfied’ concert at the Philippine Arena this November 29.
