The foreign reality-competition format has landed on Philippine television.

On Sunday, November 9, GMA’s weekly musical-variety program All-Out Sundays will air a special episode that will feature the Filipino version of the popular Korean reality-singing contest, Veiled Musician Philippines.

The said segment has been made possible by the partnership between the Kapuso network and its Korean partners, being the TV station SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) and the production company Kanverse.

For the said episode, the search will be on to determine the three singers that will represent the Philippines in the Veiled Cup, a pan-Asian contest where representatives from nine Asian countries face off.

According to GMA Network, the segment will be hosted by Rayver Cruz and Gabbi Garcia with 12 professional singers competing while being hidden behind a veil.

In the Elimination Round, all contestants perform behind the veil, and the six highest scorers will advance to the next stage.

The Collab Round pairs two veiled musicians with one of the judges in a special performance. Though it’s a non-elimination stage, this round contributes 50% of their total final score.

Lastly, The Final Round will see each contestant perform individually, with the three highest-scoring artists emerging as the champions of Veiled Musician Philippines.

The contenders will be evaluated purely on their vocal prowess as they go through three competition rounds by an all-star panel composed of Kapuso Premier Balladeer Mark Bautista, The Undeniable Diva Rita Daniela, and Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose.

In the final part of the episode, K-pop idol Tiffany of Girls’ Generation is also confirmed to be joining the jury to help select the three singers worthy of carrying the Philippine flag in the grand finale of the South Korean program.
