They are back to bring another layer to the story.
During the episode thar aired on Tuesday, November 4, ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre’ officially reintroduced cast members John Arcilla and Rochelle Pangilinan in the show.
Both actors were part of the 2016 retelling-sequel ‘Encantadia,’ where they respectively played the evil king Hagorn and the loyal Hathoria general Agane, whose body was taken over by the Etherian queen Andorra in the latter part of the telefantasya.
For this installment of the franchise, they are once again portraying their original characters, who are now in Balaak, the equivalent of hell in the fantasy drama.
In their respective reels on Instagram, Arcilla and Pangilinan shared their behind-the-scene preparations and looks on the set as they make their return to the fictional realm.
In one part of Rochelle’s video, their 2016 castmate Glaiza de Castro, who plays Pirena, admitted to feeling “surreal” upon seeing both John and Rochelle on set in their characters once again.
‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre’ recently crossed its 100-episode mark, with the story now expanding further and away from the just the four kingdoms—Lireo, Sapiro, Adamya, and Hathoria—being dominated by the wicked Ice Queen that is Mitena (played by Rhian Ramos).
In recent weeks, the story of Ivtres (souls) in Devas (equivalent of heaven) was also explored, with Pirena‘s soul getting kidnapped by the Gulmurok and brought to Balaak after forcibly leaving with her niece Gaiea (Cassandra Lavarias).
The program airs weeknights on GMA and GTV.
