It comes from the makers of the hit 2019 drama ‘The Killer Bride.’
On Thursday, October 9, ABS-CBN officially unveiled the trailer for the newest mystery-suspense drama, ‘What Lies Beneath,’ which will feature a powerhouse cast.
Set to to topbill the series are the Janella Salvador, Sue Ramirez, Kaila Estrada, Charlie Dizon, Jake Cuenca, and JM De Guzman.
As per the nearly three-minute-long clip, the story will revolve around a group of four friends who stood witnesses to the murder of their other friend, Luisa. Together, they ganged up against the alleged killer, which brought him to jail despite pleading his innocence.
This will then bring their lives, years later, through a tumultuous twist as the man plots his revenge to the four women behind his incarceration.
Also part of the series are Jameson Blake, Yves Flores, Race Matias, with Dado Lumibao and Froy Allan Leonardo serving as the directors.
‘What Lies Beneath’ will be the sixth ABS-CBN production—its third this year alone—to be uploaded in advance on the Netflix, where it will become available on October 17.
Prior titles include ‘2 Good 2 Be True,’ ‘Can’t Buy Me Love,’ ‘Lavender Fields,’ ‘Incognito,’ and ‘It’s Okay To Not Be Okay.’
Meanwhile, on the following day, October 18, the pilot episode will be added to ABS-CBN’s own streaming service iWant.
On linear TV platforms Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, and the web-based channel Kapamilya Online Live, the series will premiere on Monday, October 20.
