New characters are set to enter the long-running primetime series.
ABS-CBN’s flagship primetime drama ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ is marking the start of its next season with the entry of new actors that will add flavor to the story.
Already confirmed in the past week as the latest addition to the Kapamilya serye is former Kapuso actor Aljur Abrenica, who portrays the policeman PLt. Hector Victorino.
Teaser clips have already shown him to be at odds with John Estrada’s Rigor, although other details regarding his character have yet to be known.
Meanwhile, in a clip of a story conference uploaded through the CCM Productions social media accounts, more new faces were also seen, including some of the country’s finest actors.
Making their way to the drama series are Perla Bautista, Roi Vinzon, Richard Quan, Aleck Bovick, and Via Antonio.
Fresh from the success of ‘Incognito,’ Baron Geisler and Maris Racal are once again doing another action series in ‘Batang Quiapo’.
During a live report on the set of the show for ‘TV Patrol,’ Maris formally introduced herself as the new policewoman Ponggay, who is a fresh graduate and naive officer that craves change.
Director and lead star Coco Martin also revealed one of the key scenes awaiting viewers in the near future, which will be a three-way face off between the Montenegro and Guerrero clans, and the police force led by Rigor.
‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ has consistently ranked as the most-viewed drama of ABS-CBN since its launch in February 2023 and airs on the network’s platforms, as well as A2Z and TV5 every weeknight at 8:00 pm.
