Helping the program gain unprecedented global traction.
The Korean reality-survival competition show ‘BOYS II PLANET’ of Mnet and CJ ENM has achieved record-breaking viewership milestones across the show’s official social media platforms in less than two months since premiere last July.
The official channels—YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok—have accumulated nearly 600 million views, while the combined number of followers across YouTube, Instagram, and X has exceeded 2 million, which they said “reflects the show’s unprecedented global appeal.”
On YouTube, the United States stands out as one of the global regions with the highest viewership, alongside Japan and South Korea, demonstrating the expanding ‘BOYS II PLANET’ fandom across North America and beyond.
The program also features a unique worldwide fan voting system where the fans (called the “Star Creators”) play a key role in making the next global K-pop rookie group.
“The show’s interactive format has helped build a strong global fandom and heightened anticipation for the final debut lineup,” the showrunners told.
It also produced by the same production team as ‘BOYS PLANET,’ which formed the breakout success that is the group ZEROBASEONE, who after being formed through the previous season, marked their Billboard 200 chart debut at the 28th spot in April this year.
