In its recent disclosure, GMA Network, Inc. revealed its figures for the first six months of the year, with the date ending June 30, 2025.

According to the media giant, it amassed consolidated revenues that were ahead by more than PHP2 billion against comparable period in 2024.

Furthermore, the company also registered a consolidated top line of PHP10.1 billion, trumping the PHP7.8 billion sales it recorded during the same period the year prior.

During the first half of the year, the election-related campaign adverts buoyed both television and radio sales of the Kapuso network, with the flagship TV channel GMA-7 having a commendable double-digit sales hike.

It was also complemented by its robust performance in the nationwide ratings in H1 2025, according to Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

The multi-awarded public affairs program, ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,’ was the most-watched show in Urban Philippines for Q2 2025, while the ‘Eleksyon 2025: The GMA Integrated News Coverage’ earned the highest viewership on-air and online.

Consumer sales and other production service revenues registered another double-digit growth by the end of the first half of the year compared to the same period last year.

Production service revenues saw a sharp
increase, driven largely by the strong performance of GMA Pictures during the period. This included significant contributions from the box-office success of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Best Picture winner Green Bones.

The film emerged as one of the top-grossing entries in the 2024 MMFF and enjoyed an
extended run in cinemas well into the new year.

Adding to this were international distribution revenues from the widely successful co-produced film Hello, Love, Again, which further strengthened movie-related income.

Other sources of revenue also benefitted from streaming and over-the-top (OTT) licensing deals for films like Green Bones, Everything About My Wife, Balota, and TV titles such as SLAY: ‘Til Death Do Us Part and Widows’ War.

Meanwhile, operating expenses (OPEX) increased by 6% to PHP7.6 billion, attributed to higher cash and non-cash production costs, as well as general and administrative expenses.

The strong revenue growth also enabled the Network to deliver PHP3.8 billion in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) for the period ending June 2025, a 91% increase from the previous year.

To cap it all off, GMA reported that it was able to post a PHP2.0 billion net income after tax in the first half of 2025, which was a surge of more than threefold year-on-year.

GMA Network is currently celebrating its 75th founding anniversary, with events like the ‘Beyond 75 TV Special’ in July and the ‘GMA Gala 2025’ in August highlighting this momentous occasion for the company.
