More than a month after releasing a single from the new mini-album.
On Monday, August 11, Korean-Canadian singer-dancer Jeon Somi issued her extended play entitled ‘Chaotic & Confused’.
The new EP carries five tracks, led by its title track ‘Closer’ that had its music video released on the same day.
The nearly three-minute-long video has crossed 2.8 million views on YouTube, more than a day since it was uploaded.
This new song joins, among other songs featured, the dance track ‘Extra,’ which was dropped as a pre-album release single in early July.
Jeon Somi was formerly a trainee under JYP Entertainment and later participated in two notable survival-reality shows, which are ‘Sixteen’ and the first season of ‘Produce 101’.
In the latter, she was able to clinch the top spot and made her debut via the 11-member project girl group I.O.I., which is known for singles like ‘Crush,’ ‘Very Very Very,’ and ‘Whatta Man’.
After the group disbanded in 2017, she returned to JYP before eventually departing the company in 2019 after sigining with her current parent label.
That year, she also launched her solo career and, so far, added to her discography numerous tracks, such as ‘Birthday,’ ‘What You Waiting For,’ ‘XOXO,’ and ‘Fast Forward’.
