In the official list of nominees published by industry publication ContentAsia, it revealed the names of programs and personalities that have been shortlisted for ContentAsia Awards 2025.
In the Philippines, local companies and artists were able to bag nominations across eight categories.
Media giants ABS-CBN Studios and GMA led the list, with the Kapamilya network gaining five and the Kapuso station with two entries. Meanwhile, PTV and Anima each scored one for their respective productions.
Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards’ billion-peso blockbuster movie ‘Hello, Love, Again’ from ABS-CBN Studios is in contention for the Movie or Telemovie Made In Asia category.
In addition, the film’s official theme song ‘Palagi,’ which was recorded by real-life couple TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan is in the Best Original Song Created in Asia for an Asian TV Series/Programme or Movie category.
Joining ‘Hello, Love, Again’ in the same category is Anima Studios’ ‘Where’s The Lie?’ that starred Maris Racal.
Meanwhile, ‘Saving Grace’ is also nominated for Best TV Format Adaptation (Scripted) in Asia, with child actress Zia Grace, who played Grace, is fighting for the Best Supporting Actress in a TV Programme/Series Made in Asia.
Jericho Rosales, who came back to doing teleseryes in late 2024 to portray Tyrone de Vera in ‘Lavender Fields,’ also received a nod for that and is in the running for Best Male Lead in a TV Programme/Series Made in Asia.
Non-scripted productions from the country are also getting recognized, with GMA’s weekly educational program ‘I-Bilib’ part of Best Kids TV Programme Made In Asia shortlist and the Kapuso network’s afternoon showbiz-oriented chat show ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ in the Best Talk Show Made In Asia section..
State-run People’s Television Network (PTV) is also getting the regional distinction, bagging a nomination for Best Sports Magazine Programme Made In Asia for ‘PTV Sports’.
The winners are set to be announced at the awarding ceremony, which will be held in Taipei, Taiwan, on September 4, 2025.
