Korean pop group HIGHLIGHT will be headlining their solo concert in the Philippines later this month.
The quartet, composed of Yoon Doojoon, Yang Yoseob, Lee Gikwang, and Son Dong-woon, will be coming to the country for their ‘Ride or Die’ concert on Saturday, August 23.
The said event is part of band’s ongoing tour across Asia, with its Philippine stop set to take place at the New Frontier Theater.
It was originally set to take place at the larger venue across the street, the Araneta Coliseum. Citing a “detailed discussion” with all parties, the organizers, Three Angles Production, announced the move to the theater last Friday, August 1.
Ticket prices to the show ranges from PHP 4,500 until PHP 11,500, with these available via Ticketnet’s physical outlets and website.
HIGHLIGHT’s concert tour comes after the team dropped the extended play titled ‘From Real to Surreal’ in April, which carries the singles ‘Endless Ending’ and ‘Chains’.
Originally a six-piece group, they debuted as Beast in 2009 and is known for their songs like ‘Bad Girl,’ ‘Shock,’ ‘Breath,’ ‘Beautiful,’ and ‘Fiction,’ among many others.
In 2016, they departed their original agency, Cube Entertainment, and established their own label named Around Us Entertainment.
The following year, they relaunched to their current name and released the EP ‘Can You Feel It?’, which includes ‘It’s Still Beautiful’ and ‘Plz Don’t Be Sad’.
In 2024, it was announced that the group had regained rights to their former name.
