As part of the government’s bid to streamline and modernize the delivery of its service to the public.
At the San Juan National Government Center on Friday, July 18, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. officially introduced the new eGov PH Super App and eGov PH Serbisyo Hub.
In his speech, he said that the new system aims to make the government services easier to access by being a one-stop shop.
“Matagal na natin naririnig yung salitang one-stop shop pero hindi pa talaga nararamdaman yung magandang sistema ng one stop shop. Sa pamamagitan ng sistemang ito (eGovPH App), we are aspiring to have a true one-stop shop. Nais naming gawing madali sa ating mga kababayan ang mga transaksyon sa pamahalaan,” said Marcos Jr.
The new digital platform and physical hub will also promise to make government transactions become corruption-free and address the bureaucratic red tape.
“Walang pila. Walang fixer. Walang korapsyon. Iyan ang makukuha natin dahil sa eGov app at one-stop shop na ating binuksan ngayon,” added the President.
He also noted that processes may sometimes require a client to physically return back-and-forth in offices, such as, “Pupunta ka sa isang opisina. Pipila ka ng dalawang oras… pagkatapos, sasabihan ka pa na kulang ang requirements. Kailangang bumalik. That is impossible for an ordinary citizen.”
Through the eGovPH Super App, multiple national agency functions have been integrated into a single application that is accessible via smartphone, tablet, or desktop.
Citizens will be able to file applications, track requests, verify their identity, and eventually make online payments, all without leaving their homes.
Meanwhile, the Serbisyo Hub aims to make processes convenient and simple in other local government units (LGUs) with limited internet connectivity.
The public will have walk-in access to essential national services in a single convenient location, which include the provision of medical financial assistance through guarantee letters for hospital and other medical services, free legal counselling and consultation, job-matching opportunities, and other services like clearances and other records.
Meanwhile, during the launch event, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Undersecretary for eGovernment, David Almirol Jr., bared the achievements of the eGovPH app.
To date, the the agency said that it has already 40 million registered users, with 70,000 to 100,000 downloads everyday.
70 government services and 927 local government are also being offered in the said app.
