The three were recently in the country for the first promotional event for the new movie.
In a clip uploaded by the official social media channels of Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios’ ‘Superman’ reboot, the newest Clark Kent, David Corenswet, and Lois Lane, Rachel Brosnahan, and director James Gunn were involved in a different challenge.
The three took a lesson from the ‘Lumpia Queen’ herself, Filipina culinary content creator Abi Marquez, on how to do the popular local desert that is halo-halo.
In the nearly two-minute-long clip, the three were rather competitive at first, with Gunn and Brosnahan exchanging banters.
During which, he revealed that the actress was a wrestler back in high school.
In the midst of those, Corenswet continued making his own cup with the ingredients set in front of them.
After completing their concoctions, the trio went out from the kitchen to personally serve their “Super Halo-Halo” to fans that have waited outside.
The content was filmed during the recent trip to Manila of the ‘Superman’ team for the fan meet-and-greet event at the Mall of Asia last June 19.
The movie itself, which is considered to be the official beginning of the newly-established DC Universe, is set to come out in Philippine theaters and IMAX cinemas on July 9.
The film is part of the said cinematic universe’s first chapter, known as ‘Gods and Monsters,’ which will also include films like ‘The Brave and the Bold,’ ‘Clayface,’ and the series ‘Waller and Booster Gold.’
Aside from Corenswet and Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult is also part of ‘Superman’ as Lex Luthor.
