In a tweet on X, formerly Twitter, host-comedian Vice Ganda responded to the reviews about her 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry ‘And The Breadwinner Is,’ which began streaming on Netflix on Thursday, June 12.

Among the comments she noticed was from a user who dubbed the movie as a “masterpiece,” and wished that Meme Vice would do another project with director-screenwriter Jun Robles Lana.

The film’s lead star replied via a quote tweet, “Makakaasa ka po. Another Vice Ganda x Jun Lana movie is on it’s way.

The post immediately delighted her fans, the Little Ponies, as well as other followers who have requested their favorite stars to join Vice in the next Jun Lana flick.

Meanwhile, speaking of ‘And The Breadwinner Is,’ the dramedy soared to the number 1 spot of Netflix’s Top 10 movies in the Philippines for its first full day on the platform.

Also part of the movie are Eugene Domingo, Gladys Reyes, Jhong Hilario, Malou de Guzman, along with Maris Racal, Anthony Jennings, Kokoy de Santos, MC Muah, Lassy Marquez, Via Antonio, Kiko Matos, and child star Argus Aspiras.

And The Breadwinner Is‘ was also the highest-grossing movie of the 50th MMFF, grossing Php 400 million in the box office according to its producer, Star Cinema.
