Amid a programming refresh in the Kapuso network.
On Thursday, June 5, host Gabbi Garcia announced changes in the broadcast schedule of ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition,’ as the program nears its much-awaited finale this month.
“Simula sa linggong ito ay Lunes hanggang Sabado na lamang po mapapanood ang ating programa. Ibig sabihin, after this Saturday [June 7], sa Lunes [June 9] na muli tayo magsasama-sama sa primetime,” Garcia said.
Effectively, the program’s Sunday edition has been axed and will no longer in the last few weeks of the current season.
The primary reason for this move was the decision of GMA to greenlight the seventh season of its long-running reality-singing competition ‘The Clash,’ which will begin airing on Sunday, June 8.
Alongside that, the main ‘PBB’ program will also not air over the other platforms, such as the Kapamilya Online Live of its producer, ABS-CBN.
The current affairs show ‘Tao Po’ will be reclaiming the 6:15 pm slot on the said platform starting June 8.
Fans, however, will continue to get the latest happenings inside the house via the live streaming of ‘PBB Collab’ on iWantTFC and the GMA Network website.
The removal of the Sunday show, which had typically been reserved for nomination nights of this batch, comes as the reality program nears its end.
Additionally, it is also the first time in the local franchise history that ‘PBB’ has been cut down to a six-day week on its regular run.
At present, housemates are already teaming up for what could be their final duos before finally taking on new challenges to make it to the final slate for the Big Night.
‘PBB Celebrity Collab’ now airs every weeknight at 10:05 pm on GMA platforms and 10:15 pm on Kapamilya Online Live. The Saturday edition will broadcast at 6:15 pm across all platforms.
