It is his first major solo-headlined event in the country.
On Friday, May 23, camera flashes flickered as Korean superstar Song Joong Ki landed at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 before midnight.
His arrival came almost a day before his scheduled engagement in the country, which is his first-ever fan meeting in the Philippines.
The event, titled ‘IAM Song Joong Ki Live In Manila,’ happens at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 24, 2025.
The said fan meeting is part of his current deal as the newest global ambassador of the network marketing company.
The 39-year-old actor is known for his portrayals in various TV shows, such as ‘Innocent Man,’ ‘Descendants of the Sun,’ ‘Arthdal Chronicles,’ ‘Vincenzo,’ and ‘Reborn Rich.’
In 2024, he appeared as a guest star in ‘Queen of Tears’ and topbilled the movies ‘My Name Is Loh Kiwan’ and ‘Bogota: City of the Lost.’
Song Joong Ki is also married to Katy Louise Saunders, whom he has two children with that were born respectively in 2023 and 2024.
In fact, during the pre-show conference, Joong Ki revealed that he was woken up early this morning after he video-called his babies.
The actor also added that he is looking forward to entrenching himself in the local culture, with the market being the first in his agenda, in the future.
