This one is for all the ‘southies‘ out there.
On Thursday, May 8, Australian home and lifestyle brand Anko officially launched its second store in the Philippines, located at the Alabang Town Center (ATC) in Muntinlupa.
Present during the occasion were representatives from the foreign chain—led by its General Manager of Operations, Tim Kemp; Country Manager for the Philippines, Rachel Turner; and store manager Paul Marvida.
During the event, Turner shared her excitement about finally coming to the southern part of the metro, “Not only do we bring Anko closer to more families, but the opening of this store will bring in new jobs to the area.”
“Our focus on making everyday living brighter means we’re committed to helping our shoppers make their hard-earned money go further. For every peso we save our customers, it’s an extra peso they can use toward bills and other payments,” she added.
Also invited were its partners from the Ayala Corporation, with no less than its Chairman Jaime Zobel de Ayala cutting the ribbon to mark the opening.
Like its flagship location at Glorietta 2 in Makati City, the Alabang Town Center also features the vast product line-up of Anko, ranging from daily essentials like kitchenware and storage solutions, stationery, gadget accessories, beauty and wellness products, to even toys for the young ones.
Despite that, Turner shared that the brand is committed to delivering sharing that Anko takes its “moment to pause and reflect on the community” that they are entering how to cater to their needs.
“So what you will see in Alabang is a different store format,” which incorporated their learnings from their first-ever Philippine store at Glorietta.
Meanwhile, in tandem with the launch of its ATC branch, the company also introduced their loyalty program named the ‘Anko Club‘.
The app offers members access to exclusive events such as VIP experiences, product launches, and both online and in-store activations. Users can easily register, earn participation rewards, and engage with brand ambassadors and influencers. Member information on the app also serves as a digital pass for event check-ins.
Anko Club features include interactive challenges, push notifications, and both custom and group in-app messaging to keep members connected and engaged.
“We’ve learned so much from our first store in Glorietta 2, and we promise to keep listening to our customers and understanding what they truly value,” said Rachel Turner.
She continued, “The Anko Club app will help us better connect with our customers and meet their needs. We’re creating a space–online and in-store– where people can explore, be inspired, and find their perfect match.”
Anko now has two operational branches in the metro, both located at Ayala Malls’ properties, Glorietta 2 and Alabang Town Center.
It had previously announced its upcoming third location in another Ayala-owned development, TriNoma in Quezon City, which will be opened to the public in a few months’ time.
