Klarisse de Guzman, Dustin Yu feud on ‘PBB Celebrity Collab’ hot topic online

The brewing feud between ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition’ participants Klarisse de Guzman and Dustin Yu has viewers and netizens captivated.

The problem between the ex-duo first arose in the episode that aired on Sunday, April 20.

During a discussion for the housemates’ weekly task, leaders Klarisse and Will Ashley were making strategic moves in order to preserve the remaining time that they had for the challenge that requires them to remain silent for much of the time.

Michael Sager suggested that everyone to temporarily isolate, so as to prevent accidental blurting of words or anything that might be counted as a violation in the challenge.

This then led to Klarisse singling out Bianca de Vera, who was one of the participants with the most errors committed prior to the company call.

“Bianca, kaya pa? I’ll be honest with you, medyo nadisappoint ako kanina. S’yempre, as task leaders… ngayon, medyo marami kang nagawa and nag-suggest ka pa nu’ng…“

Ate Klang was referring to an earlier moment where Bianca joked about spending the remaining time to talk with BINI members Jhoanna and Stacey, who appeared as houseguests.

The singer then continued, “Is it okay if medyo maglayo muna kayo ni Dustin? Okay lang, mag-sacrifice,” she asked Bianca.

The 23-year-old star agreed and apologized to her for committing the mistakes.

It then led to the interference of fellow housemate, Dustin Yu, who defended himself, telling that he never spoke while he was with Bianca, hence not commiting violations himself.

The tension then developed as a back-and-forth convo between Dustin and Klarisse ensued after that moment.

But that was not the end of it, as in the episode on Monday, April 21, ‘PBB’ showed the aftermath of the group discussion, with the ex-duo engaging in a much serious talk.

But prior to that, Karisse and Bianca have already spoken to each other and understood where the task leader was coming from.

After their conversation, Dustin was still visibly upset of the call-out and skipped his meal, which irked Klarisse, as she understood that the matter is only supposed to be between her and Bianca.

Will then initiated to make Dus and Klang sit down and try to settle their differences.

The Kapuso actor insisted on not making a mistake. However, a video shown on broadcast revealed that one of the mistakes committed happened while him and Bianca were seated beside each other on the couch.

The Kapamilya singer, meanwhile, reiterated her previous words and explained her intentions, telling him that the instruction was not directed towards him. Instead, it was a move for everyone to prevent further mistakes.

Despite the explanation, Yu insisted on his side, saying, “Ate, akin lang, sigurado ako sa sarili ko… ‘pag magkasama kami, hindi ako nagsasalita. Isa yun sa rason bakit siya kasama ko. Para sa akin lang, bago tayo magbitaw sa harap ng tao, ng dalawang bisita, s’yempre nakakahiya rin sa part ko at sa part ni Bianca.“

But de Guzman stood by her past statement, repeating to him that, “Ang point ko lahat ng ano, kumbaga, i-sacrifice kung sino yung [magkaka-close para] magnilay, mag-solo-solo,” exhibiting how she initiated to distance herself from Esnyr, noting how noisy they can be when together.

Arguing his side anew, Dustin said that he was more concerned about why they were pointed out, while other housemates that committed violations were not.

Will then spoke on behalf of Klarisse, who had visibly become much more irritated by what was happening, and apologized to Dustin.

Despite that, the Kapuso housemate continued his rant.

When it was her turn to speak, Klarisse told him, “Dustin, sorry, pero ilayo mo yung ikaw [kasi] ang pinapagalitan ko talaga ay si Bianca. Ilayo mo yang pinaghihiwalay kayo, hindi ‘yon. Ang pinapagalitan ko kasi si Bianca kaya di kita magets.“

This then led to Ate Klang‘s outburst, where she blurted the viral words “OA (over-acting)! OA!” and “Sorry kung natapakan yung pagka-love team n’yo.“

She continued, “Si Bianca ang ayos-ayos kausap. Napaka-OA naman. Ang pinapagalitan ko si Bianca, kaya di ko ma-gets bakit ganyan reaction mo, Dustin?“

Already mad at that point, Klarisse even said that she is considering leaving the house voluntarily, because she can not be “plastic.”

While still in the living room, Dustin defended himself again, telling housemates that he was trying to understand Klarisse, even though he kept insisting his side during the conversation.

They were then left by other housemates, where they continued their already heated exchange.

But before the segment was over, they tried to put aside their issue for the sake of saving the task.

However, despite Klarisse and Will’s last ditch efforts, the incident caused them to officially lose in the challenge.

VIRAL MOMENT

The incident, even prior to its full broadcast on Monday night, has already spawned a lot of memes and comments from online users.

Many sided with the point raised by Klarisse in the Sunday episode, with these users telling that they don’t understand why was Dustin reacting the way he did.

Although, others, chiefly fans, backed the Kapuso star, for allegedly standing up for Bianca.

On the Monday episode of the ABS-CBN noontime program ‘It’s Showtime,’ main host Vice Ganda even did her spoof of the clip during the ‘Step In The Name Of Love’ portion.

THE TENSION CONTINUES

Meanwhile, in the next episode on April 22, ‘PBB’ has teased that all is not yet well between Klarisse and Dustin in the aftermath of their heated conversation.

“O, ayan, unli (usapan) na ulit… Back to loveteam na sila,” with Klang saying that she is still not in good terms with Dustin following the incident.
