Painting Manila yellow, one stop at a time… for the final time.
On Friday, April 11, the final episode of the three-part online series ‘Para-Paraan’ aired on the UST Tiger TV of the University of Santo Tomas.
In the final installment of the program, Thomasian contenders Jake, Chelsea, and Ynigo competed to go from the UST campus along España Boulevard, Manila to the Bonifacio Global City district in Taguig.
Declared as the ‘Rush Hour Champ’ was Jake, who clocked in 2 hours and 13 minutes by using the LRT-MRT-bus combination that cost him Php 53.
The ‘Budget Biyahero’ award then went to Chelsea, with her one-way trip to the bustling financial center setting her back Php 47, thanks to her triple jeepney transfer from España to BGC. She, however, came third in time as she recorded 2 hours and 29 minutes.
Ynigo, who utilized the UV Express, jeepney, and e-jeep, got the pricier end at Php 57, but a slightly better time of 2 minutes and 16 minutes.
Dispensing his insights during the in-studio portions was Asst. Prof. John John C. Ong, PhD, who is a Doctor of Philosophy in Built Environment/Architecture and coordinator for ARCC/AMACE and Competition.
