As a way to honor their major feat in the global sporting scene.
In its Facebook post, the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) shared images from the official turnover of the respective houses and lots of three Filipino Olympians that brought home medals for the Philippines from the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in France.
POC President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino led the turnover ceremony of the properties to two-time Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics, Carlos Yulo, and Olympic bronze medalists in boxing, Aira Villegas and Nesthy Petecio.
“This meaningful recognition reflects the nation’s unwavering support for its athletes, celebrating their perseverance, sacrifice, and excellence on the world stage,” the post’s caption read.
Meanwhile, in a separate photo, it was seen that a lot has been reserved nearby for the person who will be able to clinch a medal in the upcoming 2028 Los Angeles Olympics in the United States.
Carlos won twice in separate events of artistic gymnastics — one in men’s vault and another in men’s floor exercise.
Meanwhile, Aira competed and settled for a bronze finish in the women’s 50kg category in boxing, while Nesthy got hers from the 57kg division.
