It is the brand’s first major show in over seven years.
On Friday, March 21, homegrown clothing brand Bench staged at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City the return of its popular ‘Bench Show’ fashion event.
The brand gathered over 100 artists, models, athletes, to strut the runway in the middle of the indoor coliseum.
‘Asia’s Multimedia Star’ Alden Richards kicked off the night with his dandy look, before removing his black jacket to reveal a sleeveless shirt and a jumper.
He later earned cheers at the venue as he stripped off the shirt to reveal his torso.
In the same segment as his, other actors walked the stage, including Ina Raymundo, Kelvin Miranda, Allen Ansay, Sofia Pablo, Anji Salvacion, Roxie Smith, Bruce Roeland, and up-and-coming stars Robbie Jaworski and Diego Gutierrez.
Janine Gutierrez also made her mark by walking in her two-piece with a sophisticated blazer.
After which, longtime brand model and actor Jake Cuenca also officially made his return to Bench after briefly joining a rival brand.
The 37-year-old actor made waves at the onset of his mini-segment after riding a motorcycle in his all-white outfit.
That did not last long, as he later, in the true Jake Cuenca way, revealed his white t-back and flaunted it to the crowd.
The ‘Everyday’ segment began with the cutesy mini-portion of Joshua Garcia, who walked in complete apparel.
Joining him in this part of the show are the likes of Derrick Monasterio, EA Guzman — who shocked viewers by revealinh his behind, Royce Cabrera, Priscilla Meirelles, and real-life couple Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid.
The third portion, ‘Red,’ featured a variety of personalities including Sunshine Cruz, Teejay Marquez, Mister International Korea candidates, and Filipina beauty queens led by Ariella Arida, Gazini Ganados, Bea Luigi Gomez, Celeste Cortesi, Krishna Gravidez, CJ Opiaza, Samantha Bernardo, and Roberta Tamondong.
Michelle Dee also walked the runway with a bang, as she performed live her new single, ‘Reyna,’ during the Bench show.
Actress-producer Lovi Poe, who went with an all-black costume, rode a swing that was hoisted above the stage.
Then the fourth part came, which was titled ‘Heroes’ and gave the spotlight to various athletes, who exchanged their respective sporting equipment to model for the apparel brand’s active wear line.
The list of personalities that appeared during this portion include Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, Anton del Rosario, Eya Laure, Johnvic de Guzman, as well as artists and models Max Collins, Zeinab Harake, and Kirk Bondad.
Following that, the much-awaited part of the program came, as the ‘Kings of P-pop’ finally went up on stage to perform their trending song ‘DAM,’ which served as the gateway to fifth and final act, ‘Tomorrow.’
This opened the catwalk for the many rising stars of today like Jameson Blake, Kaila Estrada, Rere Madrid, Elyson de Dios, Argel Saycon, Sky Quizon, and Jay Ortega.
Showbiz royalty twins Andres and Atasha Muhlach, Kapamilya stars Kyle Echarri, Francine Diaz, and Seth Fedelin also graced the stage.
‘Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11’ big winner Fyang Smith, as well as Kai Montinola and JM Ibarra were also present in this segment.
Meanwhile, ‘Pambasang Ginoo’ David Licauco went the conservative route, as he chose to flaunt only his sculpted torso this time, as oppose to his previous stint as an underwear model during the ‘Bench Under The Stars’ show in 2017.
Capping the line-up of the star-studded affair was none other than ‘Asia’s Superstar’ Kathryn Bernardo wore a rather sporty attire and emphasized her toned abs.
Lastly, all the stars and models appeared on-stage one more time as owner Ben Chan was given his moment on stage.
In-between each segment, Canadian performing group The 7 Fingers entertained viewers with acrobatic spectacles.
The 2025 Bench ‘Body Of Work’ show marks the return of the event after over seven years.
The latest installment was the ‘Under The Stars’ show that happened in November 2017, in conjunction with the brand’s celebration of their 30th anniversary that year.
More than fifty local and foreign celebrities and models joined in that event, led by the likes of Daniel Padilla, Enrique Gil, Lovi Poe, Paulo Avelino, Kim Chiu, Maine Mendoza, Solenn Heussaff, and Pietro Boselli.
