The TV personality has addressed the rumors surrounding her marriage.
On Friday, February 28, Jervi Wrightson, popularly known as KaladKaren, went on-air as usual as the showbiz anchor of TV5’s flagship newscast, ‘Frontline Pilipinas’.
During the final segment of the show, Jervi was asked anew by anchor Julius Babao about the status of her marriage with non-showbiz beau, Luke Wrightson.
Contrary to her reaction to the question when she was questioned by Babao on Thursday night, where she did not make any comment about the matter, Wrightson had already prepared her statement addressing the speculations.
“Lilinawin ko lamang po yung issue tungkol sa amin ni Luke,” Jervi began her short monologue at the end of the program.
She continued, “You know, our marriage is not perfect. Katulad ng ibang couples, s’yempre may misunderstandings, merong challenges… Hindi rin po nakakatulong na minsan hindi kami magkasama, because Luke is working abroad.”
“But for 13 years, sinubok na po kami ng panahon at araw-araw pinipili po naming mahalin ang isa’t isa,” Jervi added.
To end all rumors, the news presenter said, “Kami pa rin po. We’re still together. Wala po kaming problema ni Luke (at) masaya po kaming mag-asawa.“
She also confirmed that her husband just landed in Manila this afternoon, who she said was laughing upon hearing about the circulating rumors.
Jervi also clarified the viral TikTok video she made, where she lipsynced to Ariana Grande’s ‘We Can’t Be Friends,’ and the disappearance of her photos with her husband on social media.
As for the video, she said she just felt like doing it that day, while the images were hidden from the feed because of her management, which is fixing the account for her work.
Lastly, she imparted a lesson to viewers, reminding them to be responsible with the content they receive and consume online.
KaladKaren and Luke first met in Hong Kong back in 2012 and got engaged during the pandemic lockdown in 2020.
In July 2024, in the lead-up to the wedding, Luke surprised KaladKaren with a second proposal in London, United Kingdom.
The couple then tied the knot in a ceremony held in the UK last September 2024.
