The ‘new gen’ leading lady is set to make a solo project this year.
In a social media post on Tuesday, February 25, movie studio Star Cinema announced a new project for Kapamilya actress Belle Mariano.
The 22-year-old leading lady, who comes fresh from the limited series ‘How To Spot a Red Flag’ with perennial on-screen partner, Donny Pangilinan, is set to take on a new challenge in her budding career.
This, as she will be top billing a new film under blockbuster filmmaker, Cathy Garcia-Sampana, who was recently at helm of the new highest grossing Filipino movie of all-time, ‘Hello, Love, Again,’ which grossed a whopping Php 1.6 billion in the box-office.
“Watch out for Belle Mariano and Direk Cathy Garcia-Sampana in a star-studded movie soon,” Star Cinema teased the still-untitled project.
Belle, in the past few years, was seen in several projects with Donny, including ‘He’s Into Her,’ ‘Can’t Buy Me Love,’ and the movies ‘Love Is Color Blind’ and ‘An Inconvenient Love.’
This upcoming film marks Belle’s first solo venture, as it has been previously shared that DonBelle will be seen in separate projects in the forseeable future.
Last Thursday, February 20, Donny was already revealed as one of the three new judges for ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ season 7, slated to air in March 2025
For the meantime, DonBelle fans can continue seeing both of them together on-screen in ‘How To Spot a Red Flag,’ which concludes its linear television run on Friday, February 28.
