The network is set to do a makeover of its top-rating block.
Beginning Monday, February 24, GMA’s Afternoon Prime daypart will look different as two of its shows get new slots, while a new drama is set to make its premiere.
Right after the simulcast of ‘It’s Showtime,’ viewers should now expect the series ‘Prinsesa Ng City Jail’ to come to air first.
This, as the drama has been promoted to the 2:30 pm time slot and extended to six-days-a-week, with the first Saturday episode due to air on March 1.
Following that, Camille Prats, Katrina Halili, and Shayne Sava will topbill the new afternoon series ‘Mommy Dearest,’ which will be placed in the second slot at 3:20 pm.
Previously, it was supposed to occupy the 4:00 pm time slot, succeeding the newly-concluded ‘Forever Young.’
Speaking of which, Herlene Budol’s ‘Binibining Marikit’ with Pokwang, Tony Labrusca, and Kevin Dasom has been transferred to the third position of Afternoon Prime at 4 o’clock.
Despite these changes, ‘Fast Talk With Boy Abunda’ remains at its 4:45 pm time slot.
